From the very bougie to quick and cheap eats, Vegas has it all.
Vegas Restaurant Recommendations
Anne and I have been to well over 80 restaurants while in Vegas. She is gluten free and I’m basically a pescatarian- bacon is fish, right? We have our absolute favorites, Carbone at Aria, Bavettes at Park MGM, Beauty and Essex at Cosmopolitan, Jaleo at Cosmopolitan and Eataly at ParkMGM. We spend most of our days in Vegas at the pool so we don’t go out for breakfast or lunch often and then enjoy very luxurious dinners. Luxury costs money.
When planning a Vegas trip, it is important to decide how much you will budget for food. Please know that there are much, much less expensive options and if you eliminate alcohol, appetizers, share entrees ,etc… you can significantly cut your costs. Here is a very, very basic one-day budget for a few places that I’ve been to with fairly accurate numbers:
Breakfast-Mon Ami Gabi at Paris
You can start your day with a great breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. It you’re going to a weekend brunch you can go after 12pm, sit on the patio, and enjoy the Bellagio Fountains as well.
Bloody Mary- $15
Coffee- $5
Three Eggs (bacon, hash browns, toast, tomatoes)- $17
Total- $48 inclusive of tax (8%) and tip (22%). Don’t skimp on the tip.
Eataly, located at Park MGM, is an Italian style food hall. It is a combination market, with what I can best describe as a four star food court, and has two full service restaurants as well. I’d recommend picking a station like the pasta or pizza station, and grabbing a quick bite. Approximate costs.
Meat and Cheese Board= $25 should be enough for two.
Wine- $15
Cannoli and Coffee- $15
Total- $55
Big Bougie Dinner– Carbone
The best restaurant in Vegas. Everything about it is perfect from the service, to the food and the atmosphere.
Cocktail (Old Fashioned)- $20
Appetizer (Prosciutto and Mozzarella or Caprese Salad)- $28
Entree (Spicy Rigatoni ala Vodka)- $32. There are lots of great choices that range from $60 (Ribeye) to well over $100 (Whole Branzino)
Side (Table side Caesar Salad)- $26
Dessert (cheesecake) $15
Cappuccino- $6
Total- $167 inclusive of tax and tip. And the cost could be a LOT more if you order more expensive items.
That’s $270 for a very, very good day of eating!
Ratings
Vegas has countless restaurants and these are only the places I’ve been that I think are at least worth mentioning. Because Anne is gluten free and doesn’t eat sushi, we haven’t been able to enjoy the Asian restaurants which look amazing. We also rarely go out to breakfast or lunch as we spend most of our day at the pool so we primarily enjoy dinners.
