Resort- The Mirage

The Mirage

Overall, Good

The Mirage is in a GREAT location. It is right on the strip which makes it so easy to get around. The rooms are in close proximity to the elevators, the casino is very easy to navigate and it is a nice place to stay but lacks the flare and appeal of some of the newer resorts.

Service, Fair

Unfortunately, we experienced quite a few unpleasant staff members during our stay. The front desk staff ranged from incredibly helpful and friendly (Jamie) to the rude and dismissive which we experienced during a checkout period when we couldn’t even identify an open line. In Mandalay Bay, The Bellagio and The Aria, each front desk is staffed with a host that helps manage the check-in and check-out traffic. Additionally, a concierge staff member was rude when we asked for assistance with figuring out who we could talk to about a minor room issue. The wait staff was better as was the casino staff.

Room,  Good

My view was fantastic! However, the room wasn’t anything impressive. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean but the room lacked flare. It was slightly better than a Courtyard Marriott room but didn’t feel like a “Vegas” room meaning that it was just simple.

Casino, Good

Good variety of games. Some of the slot machines, specifically the quarter machines, were older and the reels were faded. The wait staff was pretty good and delivered rinks fairly quickly. The dealers were great! The casino was pretty clean and was staffed very adequately.

Restaurants, Good

The buffet was clean and updated. BLT Burger was an inexpensive and decent burger place. I didn’t have a chance to dine at the Carnegie Deli. I thought the Paradise Café located at the pool was a nice place to eat. I had a very nice salad and really enjoyed the outdoor patio.
